Spring Sale now on – grab a bargain while they last!
Finally, the weather’s turning, and it’s the perfect time to announce our Spring Sale! We’ve got a cracking selection of e-bikes ready to roll out of the shop with a hefty 20% discount. No waiting around for deliveries – these beauties are in stock and available for immediate collection or delivery.
If you’ve been mulling over making the switch to electric, now’s your chance to do it without breaking the bank. Our website has the full list of sale bikes, but here’s a little insider tip: we’ve got several ex-demo and ex-display models in the shop that aren’t listed online. These are in fantastic nick and come with even steeper discounts in some cases. Got a specific model in mind? Drop us a reply or give us a bell – we might just have exactly what you’re after tucked away at a price that’ll make you smile.
The sale runs until the end of April, but honestly, at these prices, we’re not expecting them to hang around that long. First come, first served!
Basil has landed at E-Radicals!
We’re properly chuffed to announce that we’re now stocking Basil cargo and luggage products! For those not familiar, Basil is THE iconic Dutch brand for practical cycling gear, and we’ve been eager to get them in the shop for ages.
Their range is brilliant for urban utility cyclists – whether you’re popping to the shops, commuting with work gear, or hauling half your household across town. The Dutch really know a thing or two about making bikes practical for everyday life, and Basil epitomises that practical wisdom.
We’ve got their panniers, baskets, and cargo solutions that can transform your regular bike into a proper workhorse. The Urban Load double pannier is particularly impressive – waterproof, spacious, and it doesn’t look like traditional cycling gear. Perfect for the English weather!
The new Tern GSD has launched (it’s a beast!)
The wait is over! Tern has launched the new GSD. This isn’t just an update – it’s a complete rethink of what a family cargo bike can be.
The clever bods at Tern have re-engineered the frame to handle a whopping 210 kg load (that’s 463 lb for those still thinking in imperial). To put that in perspective, that’s you, two kids, a weekly Booths shop, and probably the family dog too – all on a bike that’s roughly the same length as a standard bike.
It’s a proper marvel of engineering. Despite its massive carrying capacity, it remains surprisingly manageable, especially navigating through narrower streets and storing it at home. Whether you’re after school runs, shopping trips, or just replacing that second car, this bike is worth a look.
The new motor system is noticeably smoother than the previous version, and the range is impressive – even with a full load, you’ll get plenty of miles between charges. Check out Tern’s YouTube video about the bike.
Lancaster cycling maps have arrived!
After months of telling customers “they’re coming soon,” we’ve finally got our hands on the printed copies of the Lancaster and Morecambe Bay cycling maps! And they’re free!
These beauties show all the cycling routes around our patch, including the traffic-free paths, quiet roads, and scenic routes that make cycling in our area such a joy. They’re proper waterproof maps too, not just paper that’ll disintegrate in our local “liquid sunshine.” The maps highlight all the best connections between Lancaster, Morecambe, Heysham, and the surrounding villages, with clear markings for the different types of routes and surfaces. Perfect for planning family outings or commutes. Pop in and grab one.
We’ll be closed for the first week of April
We’re taking a short break and will be closing the shop from 1-5 April. We’ll be back open as normal from Tuesday 8 April.
