After much consideration, we’ve made the decision to relocate from our current Lancaster city centre location to the Ironworks industrial estate in nearby Carnforth.

Honestly, our current location hasn’t worked out as well as we’d hoped. Our proximity to Lancaster’s heavily congested one-way system, and constant disruption from vehicles in what should be a pedestrianised area has made it difficult to properly display our bikes and create the calm, focused environment that high-quality e-bikes deserve. It has also prevented us from offering you a safe environment to test ride bikes, and check you’re happy with any adjustments we’ve made before you set off.

In addition to this, we’re attracting more customers from the broader region than we anticipated, and unfortunately fewer customers from Lancaster itself. For our customers travelling from further afield, the shop in its current location is difficult to reach, and the traffic congestion is even more off-putting.

We had hoped that positioning a shop like ours on a heavily congested road where so many people spend hours stuck in traffic would help inspire people to try other ways of getting around town. Unfortunately on this, we have to concede defeat, for now.

Our new Carnforth location will allow us to offer:

  • A larger, dedicated, peaceful showroom where you can properly explore our range
  • Excellent, safe test riding opportunities right next to the national cycle network
  • More personalised service with better opening times for walk-ins
  • Better parking and easier access
  • Continued public transport access via Carnforth train station (we’ll be about a 2-3 minute walk away)
  • An expanded professional workshop area for servicing and maintenance

Carnforth isn’t as convenient as Lancaster city centre for everyone, and some of our current customers won’t be able to pop in as easily while running other errands. However, we genuinely believe that for the kind of considered purchase that an e-bike represents, this new location will serve our customers much better.

We’ll be moving later next month, and we’ll be in touch with more details about our grand opening soon. In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns about the move, please do get in touch.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to welcoming you to our new home in Carnforth.
